What we collect
We collect personal information only when you send us an enquiry, or if you allow analytics cookies. When you use the quote form, Cloudflare also runs a short security check to block spam (see Service providers). The quote form collects:
- Your name and email address
- What you would like help with and a description of your project
- Any optional details you add, such as your organization, website address, timeline or budget range
- The page you started from, and a cost comparison summary if you choose to include one
How we use it
We use your enquiry to reply to you, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, provide the work. We do not sell personal information, and an enquiry does not put you on a mailing list.
Please do not send health, financial account or other sensitive personal details through the form.
Service providers
We use the following providers to run the website. They may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
- Replit, which hosts the website and stores enquiries
- Twilio SendGrid, which emails enquiries to DigitVibe
- Cloudflare, which runs the security check on the quote form (Cloudflare Turnstile). It looks at technical details such as your IP address and browser to tell people from automated spam, and does not set advertising cookies
- Google, which provides Google Analytics (only if you allow it) and the fonts used on this website
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics stays off unless you choose "Accept all", or turn it on under "Choose", in the cookie bar. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
If you allow it, Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your device and browser, your approximate location, and actions such as starting the quote form. It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>) that last up to two years. We never send your name, email address or form contents to Google Analytics, and we do not use analytics data for advertising. Visit-level data is deleted after 14 months.
If you also allow "Demographics and cross-device reports", Google can add estimated age range, gender and interests for visitors signed in to a Google account with ads personalization on, and connect visits from different devices. We see these only as totals.
Google explains how it uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also block Google Analytics with tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are deleted automatically 24 months after they arrive. If an enquiry becomes a project, we keep what we need for our business records.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing moc.ebivtigid@ofni. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
