Managed website changes

You never need us to change your site. Here is why owners hire us anyway.

Every site we build is handed over ready for you to change yourself: describe the change to Replit Agent, check the preview, publish. That part really is easy. Managed changes are for owners who would rather hand the job to people who build websites for a living, faster and for less than traditional maintenance on most requests.

Optional, always

Paying us to manage your site is never a condition of working with us. At handover we show you how to make changes yourself, and the project, domain and accounts are in your name. You can start managed changes later, stop them, or split the work with us, by agreement.

Easy to ask. Harder to get right.

Replit Agent will do what you ask. The skill is in what you ask for, and in checking what comes back. "Move the booking page" touches the menu, old links that need redirects, what search engines see, the contact form and how the page reads on a phone. As a web design and software development company, we write precise instructions, catch the side effects and test before anything goes live.

Why it costs less than traditional maintenance

With a traditional maintenance contract, a developer makes each change by hand and you pay for every hour it takes. We have Replit Agent do most of the implementation and spend our time where expertise matters: scoping the request, reviewing the result and testing it. Less time per change means a smaller bill for most everyday requests.

Why it comes back sooner

Your request does not wait for a developer to find a free afternoon and work through the code line by line. The agent drafts the change quickly, and our time goes on getting it right. For most everyday updates, that shortens the wait between your email and the published change.

For sites we build or have delivered

Management is offered for websites we build, so we know how they are put together. If you are starting a rebuild or new build, ask for managed changes in your quote. Existing clients can arrange it through their usual contact.

Questions

Before you ask for a quote.

Replit Agent is easy to use. Why would I pay you?

You do not have to, and many owners make all their own changes. Owners who hire us usually want three things: their time back, a professional check on every change, and someone accountable when a change affects more than one page. Because Replit Agent does most of the implementation, that costs less than traditional maintenance for most requests.

Will it cost less than my current maintenance contract?

For everyday requests, yes: you pay for professional review rather than hours of hand-coding. Your quote shows exactly what is covered, and the cost examples on this site show how the numbers compare.

Can I make some changes myself and send others to you?

Yes, by agreement. The agreement needs to be clear about who publishes what, so changes do not overwrite each other.

Who pays the platform bills on a managed site?

The project and accounts remain yours. How platform costs are handled is set out in the agreement and the quote.
