SEO plugins
Everything your SEO plugin did, built into the site
What they typically handle
Typical SEO plugins let editors set a page title and meta description, generate an XML sitemap, add structured data, manage canonical URLs and sometimes redirects.
Google describes sitemaps, titles and structured data as ways to help it understand a site and present its pages in search results.[1]
On a rebuilt site
Titles and descriptions per page
Each page has its own title and description in the code. To change one, you can ask Replit Agent, for example: "Change the services page title to mention bookkeeping for trades businesses", then check the preview and publish.
A sitemap that matches the site
The sitemap is generated from the pages that actually exist and are published, so it stays in step when pages are added or removed.
Structured data where it fits
Organisation, breadcrumb and service markup are added where they describe the page accurately, so search engines get a clear picture of who you are and what you offer.
Redirects you can read
Old addresses that changed during the rebuild are listed in one place, so you and we can both see what points where.
What we ask you first
- Which SEO plugin features do you actually use today?
- Do you rely on the plugin for redirects that must be preserved?
- Who reviews search performance, and how often?
- Is the site's search traffic tied to a few important pages that must keep their addresses?
Questions
Common questions
Will removing the SEO plugin hurt my rankings?
No. Rankings come from what the plugin produced, not the plugin: titles, descriptions, sitemaps, structured data and redirects. We carry all of those across or improve them, plan them before launch and check them afterwards.
Can I still edit my page titles myself?
Yes. On a client-managed site you describe the change to Replit Agent and review it before publishing. On a site we manage you send us the change.
