Independent schools and education providers
A school website parents can actually find things on
What matters
What your website should do for you
Two audiences, one site
Prospective families want programs, values, fees information you choose to publish and how to apply. Current families want calendars, forms and announcements. Each group needs a direct route.
Timely notices
Snow closures, schedule changes and event reminders need to be published in minutes by office staff, not queued for a web contractor.
Trust signals you can substantiate
Accreditation, staff qualifications and program details should be accurate and current. Outdated claims undermine credibility with careful parents.
Privacy around students
Photos and names of students need consent and a clear policy. The site should make it easy to publish what is approved and nothing else.
Pages your site could have
A starting point. We plan the final pages around your content.
- Home
- What makes the school distinct, key dates and a route for prospective families
- Programs
- Grades or levels, curriculum approach and co-curricular activities
- Admissions
- Process, dates, tours and a link to the existing application system
- Our people
- Leadership and staff profiles you choose to publish
- Families
- Calendar, forms, policies and notices for current families
- News
- Events, achievements and announcements
Features you can add
School calendar
Term dates, events and closures in one list that office staff can update in plain language.
Notice banner
A site-wide banner for urgent notices such as closures, switched on and off by request.
Forms and policies library
Downloadable documents with dates, so families always get the current version.
Tour request form
A simple enquiry form for visits; applications themselves stay in your admissions system.
Calendar feed integration Larger addition, quoted separately
Display events from an existing Google or Microsoft calendar instead of maintaining two lists.
In your own words
Changes you could ask for
Request 01
“Post a closure notice for tomorrow because of the storm, show it as a banner on every page, and remove it on Thursday morning.”
Request 02
“Add the spring open house on 12 April at 10 a.m. to the calendar and the admissions page, with a link to the tour form.”
Request 03
“Replace the 2025 uniform policy PDF with the attached 2026 version.”
A fictional example
Moving from an old site
Before
A small independent school has a Wix site with dozens of outdated pages, and only the bursar knows how to post a closure notice.
The move
We audit which pages families actually use, rebuild a smaller structure on Replit, keep links to the existing admissions and payment systems, and redirect old addresses that appear in newsletters.
After
Office staff post notices and calendar changes through Replit Agent. Bigger changes, such as a new program section, can be handed to us.
What we will ask you for
- Program descriptions and any accreditation details you can document
- Staff names, roles and photos with consent to publish
- Student photos only where you hold the required consent
- Current policies, forms and calendar dates
- The address of your admissions and payment systems
Works with tools you already use
- Links to admissions platforms such as Finalsite, Veracross, Blackbaud or your existing form provider
- Calendar feeds from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
- Links to parent communication and payment portals you already use
Questions
Common questions
Can the website take applications?
Yes. We connect the admissions system you already use, or build an application form into the site with secure storage.
Can office staff update it without training?
They need a short handover on describing changes, checking the preview and publishing. No coding is involved. Many schools choose to have us handle larger updates.
Do you cover tutoring centres and private colleges?
Yes. The same structure works for tutoring businesses, language schools and private post-secondary providers, with programs and enrolment routes adjusted to suit.
