GoDaddy Website Builder to Replit

Outgrown the starter site? Rebuild it, keep the domain.

GoDaddy's website builder (Websites + Marketing) gets many businesses online quickly, often alongside a domain bought at the same time. Owners contact us when the site needs more pages, a better structure or features the builder cannot add. We rebuild the site on Replit, carry over your content, and point your existing domain to it.

Why owners consider it

Situations we hear about

The site has outgrown its sections

The builder is section-based. Owners who need more structure, such as service areas or detailed project pages, often reach its limits.

Features need a different tool

Calculators, richer forms or custom layouts usually mean a different platform.

One account holds everything

Domain, email and website are often in one account. Rebuilding the website lets you keep the domain and email where they are.

What we rebuild

  • Pages and blog posts you want to keep, recreated in the new design
  • Images and documents you own or are licensed to reuse
  • Navigation, footer and contact routes
  • Contact forms, rebuilt for the new site
  • Page titles, descriptions and important addresses, with redirects where they change

What we handle by hand

  • Online store products and orders
  • Appointments and booking features
  • Email marketing and contact lists
  • Images from the builder's stock library
  • Domain and DNS records shared with email

Exporting content and asset rights

GoDaddy's help centre documents a CSV export for online store products in Websites + Marketing.[1]

GoDaddy's builder has no documented export for page content, so we collect page text and images from your published site and confirm them with you.

Stock images supplied inside the builder may be licensed for use within it only. We confirm which images you can reuse and suggest replacements where needed.

Addresses, redirects and integrations

  • We list the current page addresses, including blog posts and any collection or category pages, before quoting.
  • Builder sites usually have a small number of simple addresses. We keep them where we can.
  • Where an address must change, we set up a permanent redirect from the old address once the domain points to the new site.
  • We check forms, booking widgets, maps, analytics and newsletter sign-ups, and agree which are rebuilt, replaced with an established external service, or retired.
  • After launch we check the redirects and submit the new sitemap. This protects the signals your existing pages have earned.

Design rebuild or data migration?

A design rebuild recreates the look, structure and content of your public pages on a new codebase. A direct data migration moves structured records, such as hundreds of blog posts or collection items, through a scripted import. Most small sites need a design rebuild with a manageable amount of content carried across. Large content libraries get a technical assessment first, so the quote is accurate.

After the move

Editing in plain language

Request 01

“Add a page for basement renovations, using the text from the attached document and these four photos, and add it to the services menu.”
Replit Agent creates the page and menu link. You check it in the preview and publish.

Request 02

“Add a short notice to the top of the home page saying we are closed from 24 to 26 December, and remove it on 27 December.”
Replit Agent adds the notice. You check it in the preview, publish, and ask for it to be removed afterwards (or ask us to handle both).

Industries that often move from GoDaddy Website Builder

Do I have to move my domain away from GoDaddy?

No. The domain can stay registered with GoDaddy. We update the DNS records that point to the website and leave email records alone.

Will my GoDaddy email keep working?

Yes. We leave the email records unchanged and check them with you before switching.

Will my search rankings survive the move?

We protect your search standing by keeping important addresses, redirecting those that change, carrying over titles and descriptions, and checking the site after launch.
