Exporting content and asset rights
Wix states that content you build belongs to you, but that sites must be hosted and operated on Wix's servers. A Wix site cannot be exported to run elsewhere, so a move to Replit is a rebuild.[1]
Wix lists exporting blog posts to other platforms as a feature request that is not currently available. We collect blog posts from the published site instead, and check them with you.[2]
Items in Wix CMS collections can be exported as a CSV file, which helps when a site has structured content such as team members, listings or publications.[3]
Wix templates and images from Wix's media library may carry their own terms. We rebuild the design and confirm which images you have the right to reuse.
Addresses, redirects and integrations
- We list the current page addresses, including blog posts and any collection or category pages, before quoting.
- Wix blog and dynamic page addresses often follow Wix-specific patterns. Where we cannot keep the same path, we redirect it.
- Where an address must change, we set up a permanent redirect from the old address once the domain points to the new site.
- We check forms, booking widgets, maps, analytics and newsletter sign-ups, and agree which are rebuilt, replaced with an established external service, or retired.
- After launch we check the redirects and submit the new sitemap. This protects the signals your existing pages have earned.
Design rebuild or data migration?
A design rebuild recreates the look, structure and content of your public pages on a new codebase. A direct data migration moves structured records, such as hundreds of blog posts or collection items, through a scripted import. Most small sites need a design rebuild with a manageable amount of content carried across. Large content libraries get a technical assessment first, so the quote is accurate.

Can you just copy my Wix site across?
We rebuild it. Wix sites run only on Wix's servers, so we recreate yours on Replit from the published pages and any exports, as close to the original as you like.
What happens to Wix Bookings or my store?
We rebuild them, either as booking or shopping built into the new site, or by connecting an established booking or store service. We recommend the route that fits how you work and include it in the quote.
Will my search rankings survive the move?
We protect your search standing by keeping important addresses, redirecting those that change, carrying over titles and descriptions, and checking the site after launch.
Can I keep my domain and email?
Yes. The domain stays registered to you. We point the website to the new host and leave email records alone unless you ask us to change them. If the domain is registered through your current builder, you can keep it there or transfer it; we explain both.
